Description

Rangam is seeking candidates for a Contract role as a Sr Associate Scientist - Protein & Bioanalytical Sciences, Conjugation  with our client Pfizer, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. Seeking candidates in Bothell,WA or willing to relocate.

Onsite

Principal Responsibilities

  • Digital integration related to auditing and maintenance of compound registries
  • Regular maintenance and auditing of request, registration, analytical data and inventory applications
  • Frequent and timely User Accepting Testing for registration and request applications
  • Weekly electronic submission & registration of compounds for Conjugation & Screening
  • Laboratory fulfillment of reagent requests based on experience
  • HPLC maintenance and troubleshooting
  • ADC Conjugation and analytical support
  • Analytical characterization of purified ADC products
  • Creating and maintaining critical laboratory reagents, and managing their inventories
  • Evaluating and building new data efficiencies towards registration and laboratory data processes
  • Regular collaboration with team members and strong communication skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or equivalent degree
  • Hands-on laboratory experience (excluding college coursework)
  • Experience performing protein and/or antibody purification and characterization
  • Experience operating HPLC and/or FPLC
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to perform routine tasks independently and commitment to high quality analysis and meticulous documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with product quality analysis for antibodies and recombinant proteins
  • Experience with basic python scripting and strong excel skills
  • Antibody-drug conjugate and small compound handling experience
  • Experience with automated lab equipment and protocols
  • Prior experience working with electronic lab notebooks and/or LIMS systems
  • Willingness to work with potent cytotoxic compounds and following safety protocols

Hard Skills:

  • Data Auditing
  • Exp w/ antibody structure (Domain, Categorizes) Protein purification and analysis
  • Digital Application Migration and Documentation.

Soft Skills:

  • Exp using HPLC's
  • Prior ADC Conjugation Exp
  • ***Attention to Detail *** (mistake seekers and standardize, willingness to speak-up)
  • Ability to take direction from team, not just leadership.
  • Electronic inventory management

What will the resource be working with, or, have exposure to?:

  • Biohazardous Agent work (such as menigiditis, staph aureus, Lenti Virus, streph pneumoniae)

What is the minimum education experience required?:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or equivalent degree
