UI Production Designer – Mobile App Design
100 % Remote
Candidate will be supporting PST time zone
Not a role where a designer is coming in and finding a lot of designs they will be in a support role
- UI production design role (deign foundation team)
- role where designer need to work closely with development team and be focused on details that are being described in designs to withhold the design to the standards that we expect throughout the development cycle
- These designers are embedded with in the development team
- Familiar working with JIRA
- Work with developers (Support developers for any questions that may come related to design work
- Will have series of tasks as development unfolds where they need to do thorough design reviews
- Redline all issues they see and work very closely to get that resolved
- Supporting the development effort is a huge part of the job
- Huge part is helping the development team
- Ideal candidate will be frontend developers turned UI designers, or production designers but they MUST have experience delivering web/mobile apps.
- Candidate that has worked at a larger Tech company will be a good fit if they have been working with design system
- Exp in coding (Json where they can work with developers
- Figma expertise (how they work with Figma to craft components)
2 important aspects of job
- Supporting development process and collaboration between production designers and developers
- Other main aspect is around design system this is where ideal candidate will be building parts of design system or hold design systems thinking systematically around how to built components and giving all details of design component(pixels, shadows, colours)
- Working on interaction design details and visual details
- Experience in UI design and polish as it relates to design of component
- Bachelors degree needed

- We are not looking for general product/UX designers.
- This role is for a technically-minded designer who bridges the gap between design and development.
- They MUST have an online portfolio and it MUST show they experience building design systems (not just using them) AND demonstrate a strong ability to deliver designs through the development process.

Job Summary:
- As a Production Designer on our Design Foundations team, you will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless transition of product design details through the development lifecycle
- Collaborating closely with product and development teams, your mission is to uphold the highest standards of design within our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developer Handoffs & Support: Provide detailed, well-documented design specifications for product features and act as the primary point of contact for resolving design-related questions during development.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside product designers, product managers, and engineers to identify and define the necessary design details to deliver a consistent user experience.
- Design System Oversight: Critically review design concepts for component usage and translate finalized designs into detailed production-ready documentation. Ensure the highest standard for consistency of visual elements and UX patterns.
- Design System Contribution: Help evolve and refine the ADC Design System, UX guidelines, and processes that govern it. Facilitate collaboration and brainstorming sessions with the Product Design team. Document and train users of the design system to increase utilization and correct usage.
- Design File Maintenance and Change Management: Create, revise, and maintain design files, including component libraries and developer handoff files that are easy to navigate. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of executing changes within Figma to ensure smooth, efficient updates.
Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrates a strong foundation in both design principles and technical implementation, with the ability to bridge the gap between design and development.
- Has extensive experience with Figma, including file management, component creation, and collaboration features.
- Experience with design system maintenance and evolution, possessing a keen eye for detail and consistency.
- Exhibits strong communication skills, capable of working effectively across different teams and disciplines.
- Is proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and capable of implementing practical solutions.
- Brings a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences, with a user-centered approach to design and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in design / human factors or related field, with minimum of 4 years relevant work experience.
