Description

Position Description:     
 

The FHIR Engineer will support the design, development and maintenance of FHIR solutions that advance public health data modernization efforts, including the Central Data Platform initiative.
 

Tasks:   

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining web- based FHIR applications and services.
  • Building and maintaining APIs and web services for data transformation, integration, and sharing.
  • Participating in FHIR architecture and technical design to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code using approved programming languages and frameworks.
  • Implementing engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Supporting cloud-based development environments, with a preference for Azure services.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including project managers, data engineers, designers, and public health stakeholders.
  • Participating in agile development activities such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshooting, testing, and resolving FHIR defects and performance issues.
  • Providing technical guidance and recommendations on tools, frameworks, and development approaches.
