Description

The Data Governance Monitoring and Modernization Support role will provide services to support consistent, compliant, and mission-aligned data governance practices across the agency.


Tasks:   

  • Supporting agency-wide data governance operations, including dataset onboarding, risk categorization, and risk classification
  • Liaising with agency data stewards, data users, and stakeholders on data governance initiatives
  • Supporting equity-focused data governance and data use practices
  • Maintaining documentation tracking tasks, projects, deliverables, and progress
  • Developing and maintaining governance documentation, guidance, and reference materials
  • Supporting special projects requiring dashboards, structured data collection, or governance workflows
  • Supporting Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) initiatives, including workflow documentation and governance integration points
  • Preparing materials to support architecture reviews, sprints, and proofs of concept
  • Supporting enterprise data catalog implementation and metadata management workflows
  • Consolidating and documenting data transformation and data quality best practices
  • Collaborating with technical and quality assurance teams to document business rules and data quality checks
  • Participating in meetings and workgroups to ensure data governance is embedded in modernization efforts
